A well-established and growing waste management company based in Hallam is seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team.

This is a fast-paced role that plays a key part in ensuring the efficient coordination of vehicles, drivers and customer service requirements across the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, managing schedules, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring services are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules and vehicle movements
• Liaise with drivers regarding run sheets, collections, deliveries and route changes
• Monitor fleet movements and respond to operational issues as they arise
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Manage bookings, job allocations and scheduling requirements
• Ensure all compliance, safety and operational procedures are adhered to
• Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems
• Work closely with operations, customer service and management teams to ensure service levels are achieved

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator, Transport Coordinator, Scheduler or Dispatch role
• Experience within the waste, recycling, transport, logistics or industrial services sectors highly regarded
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
• High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
• Proficiency using transport management systems and Microsoft Office
